Between group test, 2 independent variables which test to go for?

Hi everyone,

I am unsure of the statical test I need to run.

The independent variable has two dimensions that should not interact with each other, however create one variable when set together (measured on a 7 point likert scale).

I then have two groups, and present each group 4 scenarios, where the two dimensions should act in opposing directions (also measured on a 7 point likert scale)

Which test would you think is best to analyse the different interactions of the dimensions?

What is your DV? Also, what is your research question more specifically?

You would want to look at how the groups compare. How many conditions do you have? 2x2 (or how many factors you have) ANOVA seems appropriate.
