Is it appropriate to use a chi squared test?

Just checking if it is appropriate to use a chi-squared test to determine the association between ethnicity and history of drug use?

Supposedly you can use Chi². As an assumption,
not more than 1 cell in your 2 x 3 table should have
an expected (!) frequency < 5.
