Hi Experts,
I have conducted a 2 (time: before, after) x 3 (condition 1 2 3) mixed ANOVA.
The within X between interaction is only marginally significant .06.
However, simple effects indicate significant change in conditions 1 and 2.
The interaction indicates if change over time is a function of group membership, correct? If it is significant, then one group has changed more than some other group. So this does not say anything about change within a specific group (= simple effect), correct?
May I test, interpret, report the significant simple effects despite the nonsignificant interaction?
thank you
Oliver
